Yvonne Wright Obituary, Death – Yvonne E. Wright, who was 83 years old and from Curwensville, passed away at the Penn Highlands DuBois. She was the only child of Willard and Agnes (Shadeck) Leigey, both of whom passed away before her birth on December 7, 1938, in Clearfield. Yvonne held a cashier position at Goodman’s IGA in addition to her tenure as an employee at Clearfield Cheese, which spanned a number of years.
Mrs. Wright loved getting together with her friends for lunch and preparing delicious meals for them. In her spare time, she liked to play cards. Above all else, she treasured the time she could spend with her loved ones. She attended the St. Timothy Catholic Church in Curwensville, where she was a member.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Delp, and husband Gary of Brockway, Pennsylvania; her son, Robert Wright and wife Kim of State College, Pennsylvania; three grandsons, Eric Wright and companion Meghan, Ryan Wright and wife Gail, and Kyle Wright and wife Shannon; three great-granddaughters, Cameron Wright, Chloe Wright, and Allie Wright; two sisters, Annette Flood of Painted Post, New York, and Margaret Vavreck of Lake Mary, Florida; and a large number of nieces and nephew
In addition to being predeceased by her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Richard T. Wright, who passed away on February 27, 2018. The couple had wed on December 1, 1956. On Thursday, April 14, 2022, at eleven in the morning, funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory located in Curwensville. Hyde’s Crown Crest Memorial Park will serve as the location for the interment.
On Wednesday from 4-7 PM and again on Thursday from 10-11 AM, friends and family will be received at the funeral home. Because Mrs. Wright’s friends have been so kind to her throughout the years, the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of them.
