Willie Whitsett Obituary, Death – Willie Whitsett is now in a much happier place after passing away. He was the son of Harry Whitsett and Mary Anderson, and he was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. His parents’ names were Harry Whitsett and Mary Anderson. Willie was a member of the Indianapolis Police Department for a considerable amount of years until he decided to resign. When he eventually achieved the rank of Sergeant after serving in the army for twenty years, he decided it was time to call it quits and retire.
Mr. Whitsett had been working for Kings from the years 1929 through 1945 before to beginning his career with the IPD. This occurred prior to him joining the IPD. After he had already spent his retirement, he went on to work for the board that was in charge of the security department at the IPS School. After a while, he became the head of the department. Throughout his life, Willie was active in a variety of communities and organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Police, the Retired Police Officers Association, and the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Mrs. Whitsett, whose name was Reva Irene Whitsett, as well as the couple’s daughter, Judith Ann Whitsett, both passed away prior to the passing of Mr. Whitsett. Robert Whitsett was the individual referred to as Mr. Whitsett. Her grandchildren Kathleen Joe Matthews and Rosanne Paul Proffitt, as well as eight of her great-grandchildren, fifteen of her great-great-grandchildren, and two of her great-great-great-grandchildren, are among the members of her family who are still with us today.
