Vic Grice Obituary, Death – On Saturday, January 7, 2023, our club member Vic Grice passed away, and the news of his passing has left everyone in the club with a heavy heart. We are saddened to hear of his passing and offer our condolences to his family and friends. When he used to visit Looe with his good friend Chris Evans, who is also a member of the Shark Club, he attempted to join the club on numerous occasions over the course of around 20 years.
He had always wanted to become a member of the Shark Club. When Vic and Phil Curtis finally caught their qualifier on Typhoon in September of last year, they were both ecstatic. Before he passed away, he was able to make one of his dreams come true, which fills us with such gratitude. Additionally, we want them to be aware that we are giving them some thought.

Ever since he could remember, he’d had an intense want to be a part of it, but life kept getting in the way. When Vic and Phil Curtis finally caught their qualifying ride on Typhoon in September of the year before, the joy on Vic’s face could be seen from a mile away.
He received some help from his friend Phil Curtis in catching the fish. On board the boat with him was also his friend Phil Curtis. We are unable to adequately convey our gratitude and contentment at the fact that he was able to achieve one of his goals prior to the untimely end of his life. We are thankful that he was able to finish this assignment before he passed away.
