Todd Barksdale Obituary, Death – During this difficult time, my brothers and I would want to extend our deepest condolences to each and every one of you. We are truly sorry for your loss. Our father, Todd Barksdale, died away in a calm and serene manner in the afternoon on the Sunday before last (1/22/23). We are all speechless and unable to provide any kind of comfort because the news of his leaving has broken our hearts. Within the following few days, the specifics of the funeral and the visitation will be made available to anyone who has an interest in going. Both will take place at the same location. Both events are going to take place at the same venue. One of his brothers, Harmon “Dale” Barksdale Jr., had already passed away before he himself did. He was the last of his siblings to die. Mr. Barksdale was an active member of the community’s religious life in addition to his position at Timken. He was a member of the Penuel Baptist Church, which was the center of religious activity in the neighborhood. In addition to spending time in nature, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed activities such as bow hunting, fishing, beekeeping, grilling, and other culinary pursuits. He was a man of great passion for the outdoors.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Dawson and Emily Barksdale; a sister, Diane Hall of Evington, along with her husband, Joe; and a sister-in-law, Pat Barksdale of Hurt. His mother was the sole member of his immediate family to pass away. Only his mother had made it through the ordeal alive. His mother was the only member of his immediate family to have passed away before him. It was only her and no one else. Penuel Baptist Church will be the location of the funeral services that will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Carlton Gunter will serve as the officiant for the funeral services. After the funeral ceremonies have come to a close, the body will be laid to rest at the cemetery that is adjacent to the church. The family will be holding an open house tonight for friends and neighbors from seven to eight thirty-five o’clock. On Monday, November 21, 2016, services will be held at the Colbert-Moran Funeral House. At other times, however, they will be held at the house of his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Joe Hall, which is located at 1188 Masons Mill Road in Evington.
