Thomas Morecroft Obituary, Death – On July 31, 2022, Thomas A. Moorcroft, age 57, who resided in Sprague, passed away without incident. He is the son of David Moorcroft of Glastonbury and Elaine (Harrison) Moorcroft of Hartford, and he was born in Hartford. He spent a good portion of his career in Willimantic working for General Cable as a machinist. The East Catholic High School in Manchester is where he earned his diploma. Tom was a straightforward individual who placed the utmost priority on his family. He gave his whole and undivided attention to his offspring and grandchildren and appreciated the opportunities he had to spend time with them. He possessed a great spirit, a loving spirit, and he was compassionate and tolerant toward others.

His daughter Danielle Moorcroft and her fiance Jose Santos of Columbia, as well as their son David Moorcroft and his fiancee Marnee Miceli of East Hartford, are among those who are able to carry on his legacy after his passing. His grandchildren, Xavier Santos, Colton, Jameson, and Adalyn Moorcroft, were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. His parents are David Moorcroft and Elaine (Harrison) Moorcroft, and they live in Glastonbury. His siblings are William Moorcroft and his wife Joyce, who live in Hebron; Charles Moorcroft, who lives in Wellington, Florida; Christopher Moorcroft, who lives in Ridgeland, Mississippi; Cynthia Moorcroft and her husband Cynthia, who live in Albany, New York; and Sister Elaine, who teaches at St. John’s School in Old Saybrook.

On Thursday, August 3, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the family of Thomas will greet relatives and friends at the Potter Funeral Home, which is located at 456 Jackson St. in Willimantic, Connecticut. On Thursday, August 4th, at 10:00 a.m., his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at S.S. Isadore and Maria Parish, which is located at 2577 Main St. in Glastonbury. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest at St. Augustine Cemetery, which is located in South Glastonbury.
