Thomas Marvits Obituary, Hillsborough Township Firefighter dies in line of duty

Thomas Marvits Obituary, Death – The news of the passing of Chief Tom Marvits, who was a member of the Hillsborough Fire Company #3 – Station 38, has left us in a state of deep sadness. During this trying time, we want his family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. Even though Tom had only recently taken over as Chief of Company 3, he was already well-known across the city as an outstanding gentleman. The community knew him to be a true gentleman in the fire department, but they also knew him to be a good father, volunteer, and wonderful man in general.

In addition, the community knew him to be a member of the fire department. Tom had just recently been promoted to the position of Chief in their organization. On multiple times, Tom was in the position of being the only person accessible to aid in making things happen at the eleventh hour. This forced him to rely solely on his own abilities to get things done. He was the only guy who could provide assistance in getting things done when no one else was accessible. In spite of the fact that he was responsible for driving the air tanker and truck, he took part in a significant number of our exercises.

Tom will not be able to take his family with him and will have to leave behind his wife and their two children. We are going to have to move on without him.
