Theo Gibbs Obituary, Regina SK, LCC baseball team mourns death of freshman catcher

Theo Gibbs Obituary, Death – Theo Gibbs, 18, who had recently graduated from both Martin Academy and Regina Red Sox Academy, passed died unexpectedly on December 30, 2022.  The Canadian catcher, who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, announced his intention to join Lassen Community College in June 2022. His birthplace is Regina, which is located in the province of Saskatchewan. Since the beginning of this year, he had been participating in their training program.

“Our baseball program is grieved by his demise,” was how Lassen’s head baseball coach, Frank Avilla, conveyed his sorrow over the passing of Theo Gibbs. Gibbs was an integral part of the team for many years. We send our condolences and prayers to his family as they grieve the loss of their oldest son. May God grant them peace, solace, and fortitude during this difficult time in their lives. The upbeat demeanor and limitless energy that Theo exuded were infectious, despite the fact that the amount of time we spent together was restricted. RIP young man.”

Gibbs honed his skills at the Martin Academy, the Regina Red Sox Academy, and the Prairie Baseball Academy before joining the Regina White Sox of the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League. Prior to that, Gibbs played for the Regina White Sox of the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League. When he was younger and playing minor hockey in Regina, he was a part of two different teams: the Regina Shamrocks and the Regina Cougars.
