Steve Volla Obituary, Death – The passing of Steve Volla in Mayville Steve Volla, a native of North Dakota, was killed in a shooting that implicated the police. The 18th of January, 2023 was the day when Steve Volla took his last breath. The Traill County Sheriff’s Department reports that a man who was 59 years old and had barricaded himself in a room as investigators tried to serve a search warrant took his own life by shooting himself in the head while he was barricaded inside the room.

The man had barricaded himself in the room while investigators tried to serve a search warrant. The individual who was eventually determined to be Steve Volla was involved in a prolonged fight with members of the law enforcement community before he committed suicide by shooting himself in a rural region near Mayville.

A search warrant was allegedly attempted to be served on a resident farmhouse by law enforcement officials from the Traill County Sheriff’s Office, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), and the Department of Homeland Security. The report was provided by the Traill County Sheriff’s Department.

The man, who was 59 years old at the time, is said to have shut the door and locked himself inside a chamber that is placed inside the structure that houses the shop. After a considerable period of time had passed, the SWAT Team from Grand Forks, the bomb squad, and a crisis negotiator were all dispatched to the scene in order to assist with the negotiations.

The crisis negotiators’ primary objective during the approximately one-hour-and-a-half-long phone conversation that they had with him, during which time they shared information with one another, was to convince him to leave the room. During this time, they also exchanged information with one another.

During those negotiations, it was stated that the guy indicated that he had access to a pistol; nevertheless, according to the commander of SWAT, the individual did not threaten to hurt anyone other than himself. During those talks, it was stated that the guy indicated that he had access to a pistol. He never intended to damage anyone but himself.

The information that was found in the report indicates that the individual shot themselves in the head with the gun, and at 6:58 p.m., the individual passed dead as a direct result of the self-inflicted gunshot wound. Additionally, a request for assistance was made to the Department of Criminal Apprehension in the state of Minnesota.
