Steve Shetter Obituary, Death – With great sadness in our heart we bring the news of Steve Shetter who passed away this morning. Please accept my sympathy. He and I had a really good friendship. I must go in this way, which I must do with much sorrow. He always presented himself in a friendly and professional manner whenever I interacted with him. The Repair Affair chapter that is currently located in Harrison County was founded by Steve, who was the driving force behind the chapter’s establishment. Harrison County serves as the present home of the chapter’s administration. Steve and I both took part in the Leadership Harrison County program during the academic year that ran from 1997-1998 to 1998.
The program ran from 1997 to 1998 while we were participants. I ended up going on the trip with Steve because it was Steve’s idea that we utilize this trip as the basis for our class assignment. The idea for our outing to double as our group’s class project came from Steve. Steve made the suggestion that this field trip should be part of our class assignment. Things are moving along swimmingly even now as a direct result of his boundless excitement and unwavering determination to carry things through to their victorious completion. He took such great pleasure from helping others, so I will continue to think of him often and cherish the time we were fortunate to spend together as much as I can.
He actually had a servant’s heart and had nothing but the utmost respect for those who had moved to Harrison County and established houses there. Dear friend, I pray that the Lord would give you and your family the peace and the strength you need to get through this difficult time of grieving the loss of a loved one. I also pray that you will be able to find the peace that you have been searching for. May the Lord keep you in his loving care and grant you blessings.
