Shawn Holden Obituary, Death – Shawn M. Holden, 54, of Fall River died at St. Anne’s Hospital on December 29, 2022. He had spent his entire life in Fall River, where he was born. He was the son of the late Paul P. Holden Sr. and Jean M. (Watkinson) Holden of Hingham, and he had grown up in the city. After graduating from B.M.C. Durfee High School, he moved on to work as a Laborer in the construction industry. In addition to being a fanatical follower of Boston sports teams, he was widely known as “the fantasy football guru” and held a number of championship championships. He also enjoyed going to the gym and doing weights, particularly with his youngest son, Jamison.
He was a man of strong faith who could always be counted on to give excellent advice. He was quite proud of his Irish Catholic ancestors. He was a sentimental man who found the best times in his life to be spent with his family and friends, where he could make everyone laugh with his natural storytelling skills. Alexis Garcia of Fall River, Kyle and Michael Holden of Tampa, FL, Megan and Jamison Holden of Fall River, and Kevin J. Holden of Fall River survive him, as do his five brothers: Paul P. Holden, Jr. and his wife Amy of Clifton, Virginia, Richard J. Holden and his wife Kim of Plymouth, Joseph C. Holden and his wife Cheryl of Fall River, and Kevin J. Holden of Fall River.
His funeral will be held at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street in Fall River, on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Parish, located at 1598 South Main Street in Fall River, Massachusetts 02724. Both relatives and friends have been welcomed as guests. On Sundays from 3 to 6 p.m., visitors are welcome. You can show your appreciation by making a donation to Good Shepherd Parish in his honor.
