Shane Williams Obituary, Death – Shane Thomas Williams, who had lived in Charlotte all of his life and had reached the age of 34 when he passed away on December 25th, 2022. On October 31st, 1988, in the city of Akron, in the state of Ohio, he was born to parents named Thomas Lee Williams and Sherry Lynn Woy Williams. He was the only child of his parents. Shane had previously studied at East Carolina University and received his high school diploma from Mooresville High in 2007. Shane was employed at 11400 Group, Inc. in the role of project manager for the company. Shane’s past includes time spent as a member of the congregation of the First Baptist Church located in Mooresville.
He was quite involved in the men’s group that met at the Hope Community Church in Charlotte, which he attended regularly at the time because he was a member of the congregation there. On top of that, Shane was a leader in the Young Life group that gathered in Charlotte every week. He was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others and who did volunteer work in the Charlotte area. Shane was a young man who seized every chance that came his way in life and made the most of it. He treasured the time he got to spend with the people he cared about, especially his favorite cat, Ruth. Shane enjoyed spending time outside, whether it was at the lake, the beach, or the mountains, and football was his favorite sport to play.
Shane is survived by his sister, Brittany Williams (fiancé, Adam Wise); Half-sister, Christy Port (Greg); Half-brother, Dustin Williams; maternal grandparents, Jack and Dale Woy; aunt, Natalie Hatchett; and nieces and nephews, Layla, and Landon, Logan, Gracie, Aria, Jonah, and Guen. Brittany Williams is married to Adam Wise. Christy Port is married to Greg Brittany Williams, Shane’s sister is one of the people he leaves behind, in addition to his parents. A memorial ceremony will be held in the chapel of the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville at five o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, December 30, 2022. The funeral home is located in Mooresville.
The Reverend Aaron Ingle will serve as the master of ceremonies for the event. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from six in the evening until eight in the evening and will be hosted by the family immediately following the conclusion of the service.
