Ross Comeaux Obituary, Death – Ross Comeaux, 46, of Brentwood, Tennessee was a passenger in a car that was involved in a mishap on I-65 North. While being treated in an ambulance, he walked out of the vehicle, into a traffic lane, and was struck by a semi-truck. Comeaux died at the scene. The preliminary investigation came to the conclusion that Ross was driving a BMW 528i car in the direction of the north when he crashed into a metal guardrail that was located on the right shoulder and then continued into a concrete wall. This information was gleaned from the findings of the investigation.
When the first officer arrived at the scene just before 3:45 p.m., Comeaux was already receiving medical aid as a result of the incident that had just occurred. Just prior to the arrival of the police, Comeaux mentioned to the paramedic that he had forgotten something important. Comeaux exited the ambulance and made a break for it by running across the interstate toward the center median. He did this in order to get away from the ambulance. While this was going on, his vehicle slowed to a stop on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Following then, he was struck by the driver of a semi-truck that was heading in the direction of the north. It was discovered that he had died at the location where he was found. The officer was unable to have a talk with Comeaux before to the collision that would ultimately result in Comeaux’s death. There was no evidence that either Comeaux or the driver of the semi had any form of impairment when the accident occurred.
