Ronnie Lynn Boger Obituary, Rimer Fire Department retired firefighter has died

Ronnie Lynn Boger Obituary, Death – After a valiant fight against liver disease, Ronnie Lynn Boger, 66, of Rockwell, North Carolina, departed this life and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 16, at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He was surrounded by family and an overwhelming amount of love. Boger Reformed Church, located at 7313 Gold Hill Road in Concord, will be the location of the funeral service on Friday at 11:00 am. The service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. John Brantley and Darrell Kluttz. After the funeral, the body will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

At the Gordon Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, the Boger family will greet friends who are in attendance. Ronnie A. Boger was born on April 11, 1956 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. His parents, Otis A. Boger, Sr. and Pauline Myers Boger, passed away before Ronnie was born. He had been an active participant in the Boger Reformed Church throughout his entire life as a member of the congregation there. He graduated with the class of 1974 from Mt. Pleasant High School.

He spent many years contributing to the Rimer Volunteer Fire Department and was very involved with the Future Farmers of America (FFA) while attending Mt. Pleasant High School. He spent his entire life working in the great outdoors as a farmer, a logger, and other outdoor jobs. He was also known for being a loving husband, father, papaw, and friend, despite his reputation for being a prankster.

He cherished the time he got to spend with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren: Aubrey and Luke Love, Traton and Kylie Boger, Abigail and Shelby Morrow, Alisha Hamel (Dylan), Bryson, Hayden, Kade, Easton, Grace, Isaiah, Annabelle, Adelyn, Braylin, Emma, and Paxton Leonard. His other favorite people to spend time with were his great-grandchildren. They enjoyed activities such as fishing, playing cards, spending the day at the lake, going on vacation to the beach, and making the most of snow days.

His mother and father, as well as his daughter Rhonda Leann Boger, passed away before he did. In addition to his grandchildren, his memory is carried on by his devoted wife, Dora Gardner Boger; his son, Aaron Boger; his daughter, Tracy Boger Love; his brother, Otis Aubrey Boger, Jr. (Judy); his sister, Sue B. Archer (Richard); his bonus sons Wes (Tammy), Derek (Sara), Bret (Lacy), and Ryan (Rachel); his nieces Kelly Bunce (Scott), Dana Smith
