Robert Gessner Obituary, 85 Years-Old, Robert Gessner Has Passed Away

Robert Gessner Obituary, Death – On the evening of Friday, January 20, 2023, Robert Gessner passed away unexpectedly at his home in North Brunswick. He had been there since earlier that day. He was 85. His first residence was in North Plainfield, and both of his parents, Lawrence Gessner and Mabel (Karst) Gessner had passed away prior to the birth of their son. In 1965, he uprooted his life and settled in North Brunswick. His high school certificate came from Plainfield High School, and he retired from GAF Corporation in Parsippany, New Jersey, in the year 2017, after having worked there as a salesperson for the preceding 30 years. He was able to work there for such a long time because he was a senior employee. During that time, he was prosperous in sales and won a number of awards in recognition of his achievements.

Mr. Gessner was a model soldier in the United States Army during the latter half of the 1950s decade. He served his country with distinction. He gave his whole heart and soul to his wife and children, and he lived for the thrill of trying new things. The island of Aruba and the state of Maine were both high on his list of potential vacation spots. In the year 2016, POAC Autism Services presented him with the POAC Humanitarian Achievement Award in recognition of his unflinching dedication to serving the community of individuals with autism and addressing their needs. The year 2016 was the year that this accolade was presented to the recipient.

His parents and both sets of grandparents had passed away before he did, and his brother Lawrence K. Gessner had already left this world before he did. Those who are still with us today include his wife, Ruth (Naroskie) Gessner, two of his daughters, Susan Osborn (John) of Dunellen and Sandra Gessner of Toms River, as well as his son, Robert L. Gessner of North Brunswick; two of his grandchildren, Christopher Osborn and Elizabeth Osborn; and a great-grandson named Caleb Osborn. His great-name grandson is Caleb Osborn.
On the evening of Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick, which can be found at 555 Georges Road, will be hosting a visitation beginning at three o’clock in the afternoon and continuing until seven o’clock in the evening.
