Robert Crosby Obituary, Death – Robert Crosby passed away. born on April 24, 1945, to Frances Lucille Caldwell and William Vincent Lee Crosby in McAlester, Oklahoma. Prior to him, his father John McConnell, brother Mickey Wakely, and parents Lucille and William Crosby all went away. His wife Kate Crosby, sister Carol Eberly, children Craig and Kathy, Todd and Kim, and Ashley and her husband Bob are all left to carry on without him. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kendall and Rylan Crosby, Cole and Chloe Crosby, Charlie, Bobby, and Lily Belden, in addition to Melanie Evans, the mother of his children.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law Pat McConnell, sister-in-law Jane Wakely, and mother-in-law Pat McConnell in addition to his nieces and nephews Samantha, Jake, and Luke Wakely, his great niece Parker, and soon-to-be great nephew Ward Wakely. Numerous of his close friends still remember him with respect. Robert operated his own insurance company for more than 50 years, first with Crosby, Bigelow, and Fitzgerald Insurance Associates in San Antonio and then with Faught Insurance in Houston, Texas. In San Antonio, he served as a managing partner at Wortham Insurance.

He retired from Wortham Insurance in 2015 and immediately began serving as the Independent Insurance Agent of San Antonio’s Executive Director. He had discovered his calling! He had committed to raising the status of independent insurance agents in San Antonio ever since 2015. His legacy will be defined by his most recent project. He formed a partnership with The National Alliance and The Alamo Colleges to create a Students Apprenticeship Program, which enables marginalized students to discover employment opportunities in the insurance industry.

Just about to complete the official launch of this project, he passed away. The accomplishment of his objectives in starting this program is the zenith of his desire to give back to the business he so admired. Robert was certified in CRM and CICS. He learned that he was a blood relative of a Choctaw Nation member in his later years.
