Randy William Death, Obituary – As they break the news of Randy William Busenius untimely departure at the age of 72, his family asks that you accept their most sincere sympathies.
Randy retired from the City of Edmonton Fire Department in 2007 with the rank of District Chief after having served the community as a firefighter for the City of Edmonton for a total of 34 years and having devoted his whole career to the cause. Randy was the type of person who relished the opportunity to test his luck. He delighted in experiencing new things, such as going fishing and hunting.
In addition to that, Randy showed a great deal of support for the two local sports teams, the Oilers and the Elks. He went to the bulk of the games and was a member of the season ticket club for a good number of years. Randy’s very favorite thing to do, above all others, was to do nothing more than relax and watch his granddaughters play the piano as he listened to them. Randy was a grandfather and a parent who took a lot of satisfaction in the roles that they played in their family. His father, James (Jim) Busenius, his three sons, Ryan Busenius (married to Marley), Cutis Busenius (married to Sabrina), and Randy Lee Busenius (married to Andrea), as well as his grandchildren, Logan,
Noah, Ambrie, Owen, and Braelynn, will go on after Randy’s passing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Bryan and Marlin Busenius, as well as his sister, Wanelle Antoniuk, who is married to Ken Antoniuk. We would like to extend our most sincere sympathies to Randy’s family, which includes our very own Director and recruit piper, Ryan Busenius, as well as Ryan’s family.
