Patricia Brown Obituary Gallatin TN, Sumner County Schools mourns Patricia Brown death

Patricia Brown Obituary, Death – This morning, we learned of the passing of Pat Brown, who served as a member of the School Board for District 9. We must break the news to you with a sorrowful heart that he has passed away.
Mrs. Brown has been serving as a member of the Board of Education for the District 9 schools since it was established in 2014. Mrs. Brown retired from her position at SCS in 2002, after having worked there as an educator for more than 30 years.

Her retirement was well-deserved. Mrs. Brown has spent her whole career working in a variety of educational settings, including as a classroom instructor and, for the past nine years, as the principal of E.B. Wilson High School. Currently, Mrs. Brown serves as the principal of E.B. Wilson High School.

According to Dr. Del Phillips, who serves as the director of education for Sumner Area, Pat Brown spent her entire life to increasing the number of educational options available in the county. “She had a special interest in children who required a little bit of additional encouragement to succeed in the classroom, and she committed a significant amount of her time and effort to assisting such students. She never lost sight of the notion that the priorities of the class should revolve around the interests of the students. We will feel a profound void in our lives without her presence.”

“Pat Brown gave a unique insight to our School Board from the point of view of a veteran educator as well as a passion for the Gallatin community,” said Tim Brewer, the chairman of the Sumner County School Board. “Pat Brown served on our School Board with a heart for the Gallatin community.”

The Sumner County Board of Education and Sumner County Schools are devastated by the news of her passing, as are the members of the Gallatin community as a whole. During this trying time, the Brown family has been on our minds and in our prayers.

As a result of the unexpected loss of Mrs. Brown, the meeting of the Sumner County Board of Education that was supposed to take place on January 17, 2023 has been canceled. The get-together will occur at a later time, the specifics of which have not been decided upon as yet.
