On August 12, 1987, Pat Bass was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, to the late Patrick Arthur Bass and Deborah Lou Givens Bass. Both of Pat Bass’s parents have since passed away. In Monroe, Louisiana, on the 20th day of January 2023, he passed away unexpectedly. Pat embraced life to the fullest by spending time with his family as well as the members of Cross Roads Baptist Church, where he was an active member.

This allowed him to enjoy his life to the absolute utmost. He was active in the church’s Retreat Ministry as a member of the congregation. He had several interests, including grilling, athletics, and hunting. It was evident that everyone considered him to be the “Grill Master.” In addition to that, he had a passion for sports and coached both baseball and softball. Any room that Pat enters immediately feels brighter. His passing will leave a significant hole in the lives of his children, spouse, and of his siblings. Ryland Bass and Tanner Flores, both of Kelly, is Gail L. Bass’s sons. He is also survived by his brothers, Sam Bass (Maria) of Columbia and Gregory Shryock of Calhoun; his niece, Emory Bass; nephews, John Thomas Bass and Gabe Shryock; and his adopted son at heart, Taryn Varnell.

2 Timothy 4:18-19 (NIV) (KJV) The seventh iteration of the International Version is now available. I persevered through difficult times, completed the task at hand, and remained faithful throughout. 8 Now I wait for the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give on that day—not just on me, but also on all of those who have waited for his appearing. Not alone will he give it to me, but he will give it to all of those who have waited for his appearance.
