Nicklas Kushnerik Obituary, Death – Nicklas William Kushnerik, age 29 at the time of his death on January 15, 2023, passed away unexpectedly. Nick Kushnerik was the devoted older brother of Michael Kushnerik and the cherished son of William and Suzanne (née Winicki) Kushnerik. Nick was also known as “Nicky.”
In addition to that, many called him “Big Nick.” Dear nephew of Colette (James) Askins, Barbara Winicki, Robert (Debbie) Winicki, and Peter Winicki. a much-loved cousin who predeceased both Thomas Askins and Christian Winicki and was remembered by both of them. A trustworthy friend to a large number of individuals and a fishing buddy to everybody.
Nick was a hard worker at Johnson Outdoors in Little Falls, Minnesota, and he was very dedicated to his job there. He attended St. Catherine of Alexandria, Marist High School, and the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, graduating from all three institutions. Nick was another proud graduate of all three schools, and he had done so with distinction.
Nick started fishing competitively while he was a student at Marist College, where he was a member of the school’s Bass Fishing Team. He continued to develop his fishing skills and follow his passion for the sport throughout the rest of his life, including competing in the Professional Musky Tournament Trail (PMTT).
It is impossible to adequately convey how much of a hole his passing will leave in our hearts. In honor of Nick, we ask that you share a smile, a drink, and some laughter with a person who is important to you. I hope that everyone has success!
