She radiated warmth and charm, as well as intelligence. Monica was a talented student with a great heart. She had a truly kind heart, and her kindness will be remembered warmly. Monica enjoyed a variety of activities, including being a Girl Scout since kindergarten, playing recreational soccer, putting on performances of Mexican folk dance, volunteering at an animal shelter to help with cat feeding, and preparing delectable meals and desserts for those who were important to her.
She had also previously been a member of the Catholic Church of St. Ann, where she had served as an altar server during the Spanish mass.
