Missy Beck Obituary, George West Police Department administrative assistant Has Died

Missy Beck Obituary, Death – Unfortuitously, one of our own has died away, and the sense of grief that this brings us is currently beyond our capacity to fathom. After a courageous fight against cancer for the previous four years, Missy Beck, our much-loved administrative assistant, “Mother Hen,” and friend, passed away in the early morning hours of January 10, 2023. She had been battling the disease for the previous four years. She is at peace now in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

Beginning in 2018, she was a member of our department and throughout that time she gave her entire being to the service that she provided to the residents of the George West community. She never skipped a day of work, even when she was feeling under the weather, and she always made sure to welcome clients with a happy smile. As a consequence of this, she has become a model that the rest of us should strive to emulate. Throughout her entire life, she never lost her wit, her sense of humor, or the love that she had for both the work that she did and the other individuals with whom she cooperated.

Please pray for the family, the city, and the police department as they go through this difficult time and try to make sense of what has happened. Everyone who had the opportunity to get to know Missy, whether on a personal or professional basis, will continue to miss her. She will be greatly missed. This is something that should be kept in mind both inside and outside of the job. It has been decided that a memorial service for Missy will take place on the 21st of January, 2023, at 11 o’clock in the morning at the Brush Country Cowboy Church. The time and date have not been decided upon at this point. The address of the church is 1417 Interstate 37, and it can be found in the state of Texas’ George West city.
