Miles McCowen Obituary, Greenville Teen Has Sadly Passed Away

Miles McCowen Obituary, Death – At the age of five, Miles Sullivan McCowen passed away at the Helen Devos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids on the 31st of December, 2022. Miles was a cute and rambunctious little boy who was brimming with energy and just a touch of mischief. He enjoyed photography, as well as spending time with his family and friends, running wild outside with his relatives and friends, watching YouTube with his siblings, and just being around people.

Wrestling and roughhousing were two of Miles’s favorite activities. He was enrolled in the kindergarten class at Walnut Hills Elementary School’s Chinese immersion program. Everyone who knows him, including his friends and instructors, is going to miss having him in class. Miles possessed a contagious laugh that spread happiness throughout the world and a grin that could brighten any room. He had an impact on the lives of so many people.

It was impossible not to fall in love with him and everything that he represented. Miles is remembered by his mother, Andrea Bailey; his father and step-mother, Michael McCowen and Mandy; his brothers Odin, Jax, and Kevin; his sisters Mary and Jade; his paternal grandparents, Lorie and Terry Stroble & Stuart and Rachel McCowen; his maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Deanne Bailey; his aunts and uncles James, Rachel, Nick C, Mary, Tabitha & Nick S; and a large number of additional great-grandparents

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday, January 6, prior to the funeral service that will be held at 4:00 pm to commemorate his precious life. The funeral ceremony will take place at Hurst Funeral Home. In a later date in the spring, a private interment will take place at the Forest Home Cemetery in Greenville. Those who wish to make a donation in memory of someone are asked to take into consideration the requirements of the family.
