Mike Novacek Obituary, Death – It is with great regret that we must inform you that Sergeant Mike Novacek, who had only just recently retired, passed suddenly unexpectedly on January 6, 2023 as the result of a medical condition that occurred at his residence. The circumstances surrounding his passing are unknown at this time. We are sorry to have to break this news to you, but it is necessary. At this moment, we do not have any information regarding the reasons for his passing or the circumstances that surrounded it. Mike’s formative years were spent in Valparaiso, Indiana, and he attended Raymond Central High School, located in the city.
After that, he finished his education by enrolling at Concordia University, from which he received a bachelor’s degree, and Columbia Southern University, from which he received a master’s degree. Both of these institutions are in the United States. The United States of America is home to both of these organizations. It was the year 1980 when he began his career with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy, and he has remained in that capacity for the vast majority of the about 38 years that have passed since he began working there. He served in a number of various departments and agencies, including TRU, CSI, and Criminal Investigations.
In the years leading up to his retirement in 2018, and he worked his way up through the ranks to achieve the rank of sergeant in each of those departments and agencies. He then retired. In addition to that, Mike was a professor at Santa Clara Community College, where he was a part of the Criminal Justice department. In addition to his brothers and a huge extended family, Mike is survived by two sons of his own, both of whom are boys.
His residence was situated to the south-southwest of the city of Lincoln, and he is survived by each and every member of his family. Mike’s inner circle consisted of a sizeable number of people he considered to be close friends.
