Michael Hennebery Obituary, Death – Sadly, Michael Hennebery, who was not only a treasured friend but also a rock of support for all of us, has passed away. He will be missed. Michael was the epitome of a gentleman in every sense of the word, and his affable nature was a perfect complement to his impeccable demeanor. Throughout the majority of the time we’ve known each other, Michael has been an excellent neighbor. On Ashe Street, we had a job that required us to serve customers, and we did that job together for more than thirty years.
When it did so in the month of December in the year 1965, Michael was the first establishment on Ashe Street to open its doors for business. It first opened its doors as a grocery store back when it was in its infancy as a business. Before Michael made the decision to go into business for himself, he enjoyed a fruitful career at Lipton’s Grocers, where he worked his way up to the position of manager and was responsible for the store’s overall success. He lived there for a significant number of years. Since that time, Hennebery’s has grown into a reputable and well-known establishment thanks to the years that have passed since it first opened its doors.

This person is someone that my father would have described as “a gentleman of the first order.” Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your family member, and please extend them to the Henneberry family as a whole. At the Kingdom Greyhound Track, where I worked for at least 25 years, Michael was the kind of person who made it a pleasure to be in his company at all times. Everyone who had the honor of counting him as a friend will be left with a profound sense of loss at his passing.
