Michael Heim Obituary, Death – Michael P. Heim, 63, of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at his home. He was the husband of Cynthia L. (Sivco) Heim. Reading, Pennsylvania was the place of his birth. His parents, Sterling Heim and Doris (Houck) Heim, both passed away before he was born. Mike received his education at Wyomissing High School and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The importance of his passion for music in his life cannot be overstated. During the past 45 years, he has contributed his talents as a trombone player to a variety of bands, some of which are Springfield, Power Play, and Patchwork. Prior to that, he had spent the preceding five years working for East Coast Kitchen & Bath Wholesale as a Sales and Territory Manager the company. Ampco Metal and Bun Patch Supply Corporation were among his former places of employment. The roles that Mike played in life showcased his personality to its fullest potential.
Mike was the kind of person who could instantly make a room brighter, find common ground with strangers, and bring a grin to his face. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had the ability to make even the most serious person chuckle. Those who were familiar with Mike were aware of how much he cared about his loved ones and how far he was willing to go in order to be of assistance to them. He is survived by his son Zachary Heim, who resides in Douglassville; his daughter Lauren Heim, who is engaged to be married to Timothy Schwarz; two grandkids named Timmy and Sofia (Paoli); his brother David Heim, who resides in Shillington; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
On Thursday, December 16, 2021, the family will host a visitation at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, which is located at 359 King Street in Pottstown. The visitation will take place from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A close friend of the family for many years, Reverend Tim Bathurst, will preside over the memorial ceremony which will begin at eleven in the morning.
