Michael Cahill Obituary, Death – Michael T. Cahill, 46, died unexpectedly on January 15, 2023. Michael Cahill was born on May 15, 1976, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, to Paul T. Cahill and Anne (Donnelly) Cahill. He is survived by his father, Paul T. Cahill, in-laws Jack and Rosemary Paylor, brother Matthew (Melissa), sisters Rebecca Cahill, Jeanne Cahill, Bridget (Dan Spayd), and Mollie (Steve Genuardi), as well as six nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his mother, Anne (Donnelly) Cahill, and grandparents.
In 1994, Michael graduated from Upper Darby High School. Michael worked at St. Edmonds Home for Children in Rosemont, PA, after high school, where he developed a desire to help others. As a result, he earned an Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from Harcum College in 2001. Michael has worked all around Delaware County doing what he enjoys most: assisting others and making them laugh. After over 30 years together, Michael married his high school girlfriend Jacqui, and they were married for 16 years. He was a passionate parent who was frequently seen assisting his son’s Boy Scout Troop, accompanying them on various trips and events, or cheering him on at the baseball field.
Michael felt the same way about his daughter and enjoyed watching her perform in recitals or listening to her in school band or chorus concerts. He especially enjoyed making memories with his family at the beach in Strathmere, NJ. Michael had spent many summers at the beach, swimming in the waves, and strolling down the boardwalk. Michael worked hard to support his family, gaining friends wherever he went. He always had a smile on his face and would tell the standard Dad joke. Everyone who knew Michael will miss him.
