Mary Rush Obituary, Death – Mary Nell Rush, who was 60 years old and lived in Fruitvale, will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Mary Nell Rush’s funeral services will be held there. Brother Homer Morgan is going to act as the presider for the event. On January 4, 2023, Mary was unable to win her battle against cancer, and she passed away in Tyler as a consequence of her disease. She was born in Mineola on May 25th, 1962 to her late parents, Bobby Lucas and Barbara (McNeece) Lucas. Her father passed away before she was born.
Her father had already passed away when she was still an unborn child. Her mother was still pregnant with her when her father passed away, thus she never got to meet him. Mary’s previous place of abode was in Lindale; however, she has made Fruitvale her home for the past twenty years, and she has been attending Roundflat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale during that time as well. Her entire life has been spent working in the field of housekeeping, and the most recent ten years of her career have been spent working at the Country Trails Wellness and Rehab Center in Grand Saline.
Before Mary herself passed away, both of her biological parents and her stepdaughter, Teresa Badgett, had already crossed over to the other side. Mary was the only member of her immediate family to have survived. The following people are among her survivors: her husband, David Rush, of Fruitvale; her two sons, Nicholas Lucas and wife Nina of Grand Saline, and Joe Lucas of Fruitvale; her two stepdaughters, Sandy Hale of Plano and Crystal Rush of Dallas; her brother, Bobby Lucas Jr. of Lindale; her sister, Lora Feil and husband Pete of Lindale; her three grandchildren, Caroline Badgett, Callie Badgett, and Sydney Girard; and her three great grandchildren
