Lorraine Jarrel Obituary, Death – Lorraine M. Jarrell, who was 81 years old and originally from Temperance, Michigan, passed away at Flower Hospital in Sylvania at 5:27 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023. She was a resident of Michigan. She was born in Toledo on June 14, 1941, and her parents were George Gensler and Margery (Lewis) Gensler. She was the only child of her parents. Lorraine was a compassionate, caring, patient, and understanding woman. She was a wonderful person. She served as the Director of the Mustard Seed Outreach Ministry in Point Place for a period of twenty years, during which time she was known for her unselfishness and dedication to the community there.
Her grandchildren, who adored her, looked to her for direction and aid since she was both knowledgeable and open to new ideas. They admired the fact that she was responsive to new concepts. They had the opinion that she was the most capable. Lorraine was a gifted individual who also had a penchant for working with floral arrangements, carving wood, and creating art in addition to her natural ability. Surviving Lorraine has a daughter named Lori Anne O’Connor, five granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, two brothers named Richard (Candace) Gensler and Charles “Chuck” Gensler, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
These individuals make up Lorraine’s immediate family. Her maternal grandparents, George, and Margery Gensler, as well as her paternal grandfather, John Gensler, and her paternal and maternal uncles, John and James Gensler, all went away before she did. Her sister Carol Padley also passed away. A memorial ceremony will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 11:00 am at Point Place United Church of Christ, which she was a member of prior to her passing away.
The date and time of the service are yet to be determined. Following the conclusion of the meeting, there will be lunch. You are more than welcome to make memorial contributions in Lorraine’s honor to either Mustard Seed or the local church. Both organizations would really appreciate your generosity. The David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home in Toledo has been entrusted with the responsibility of making the necessary arrangements.
