Lola Tucker Obituary, Death – Mrs. Lola Mae Tucker “Scooter” James, 75, of Hartsville, South Carolina, died away in the Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon, January 4, 2023, with her family at her side. Earlier the morning, she had been checked into the hospital and was being treated there. On the seventh of January, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon on the Saturday, her funeral will be held at the Clyde Church of God. The date and time are both Saturdays. During the ceremony, Bishop Daniel Poston will serve as the presider. At the church, the family will have a reception beginning one hour before to the start of the ceremony for friends and family members.
Mrs. James was a native of the area of Society Hill, where she spent her childhood. Her parents, the late John Wilson and Julia Keith Tucker, both passed away before she was born. She had a combined total of 25 years of experience working in the jewelry industry at Martins Jewelry and in the pharmaceutical industry at Economy Drug before Lola started working for Carolina Pines. During that time period, she was employed at both of those businesses in various capacities. She was a member of the Clyde Church of God and in her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing meals on the barbecue.
Children, Rhonda Waynette (Tommy) Oates and Frank Wayne (Barbie) James, Jr., both of Hartsville; grandchildren: Nick Oates, Fara James, and Jesse James; siblings, Gladys (Don) Stephenson, Carolyn (Courtney) Stokes, Franky Tucker; sister-in-law, Lois Tucker; brother-in-law, Julius Loflin; also surviving are a large number of nieces and nephews. Franky Tucker Her parents and five of her siblings, including James Wilson “Buck” Tucker, Henry Patrick “Buddy” (Lucy) Tucker, Charles Randolph “Randy” Tucker, and Wilma Atlas “At” Loflin, had already passed away before she was born. The passing of Lois Jean Poston brought the deaths of her other siblings to a close.
