Lindsay Heck Obituary, University of Pittsburgh Student has died, aged 25

Lindsay Heck Obituary, Death – Dr. Lindsay Ann Heck, 25, was unexpectedly called into the arms of the Lord on December 20, 2022. Carl Heck of West Wyoming and Sherry Drungell of Tunkhannock were her parents. Lindsay’s smile lit up the room, and her laughter erupted like wildfire. She was a devoted friend and confidante to everyone she cared about. Lindsay was a loyal lover who prioritized others in her life. In 2016, she graduated as class valedictorian from Tunkhannock Area School District.

In May 2022, she received Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Doctorate of Pharmacy. She was a Community Pharmacy Practice Development and Research Fellowship fellow at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She was overjoyed at the prospect of being able to teach students, perform research, organize numerous immunization clinics, and share her enthusiasm and knowledge with others.

Lindsay is survived by her mother and stepfather, Sherry and Jack Drungell of Tunkhannock; her father Carl Heck, of West Wyoming; her sister Carly Heck (fiancé Matthew Snyder) of Pittsburgh and brother Robert Tsikalas II of Tunkhannock; grandmothers Joyce DeAngelo (Nonni) of Exeter and Marion Heck (Grammy) of West Wyoming, her godfather and uncle, Bill DeAngelo of Exeter and her godmother and aunt, Maria Heck of West Pittston. Mackenzie Drungell, Morgan Drungell, and Jackson Drungell are her stepsiblings. She is also survived by several relatives, aunts, and uncles, as well as her pet cat Chloe. She is currently in Heaven alongside her Nonno, Grandpa Heck, and Gary.

Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, will conduct a visiting from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, December 26th. Those planning to attend her burial should go to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St., Exeter, on Tuesday, 12/27/22, for a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. will officiate. St. John the Baptist Slovak Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter, will hold a Rite of Committal.
