Linda Waller Obituary, Death – The identify of the person whose body was discovered by police on Wednesday inside a home in Freeburg has been made public by the authorities. According to the authorities, a homicide investigation is being conducted into the deceased. At around 7:52 p.m. on Wednesday, officers from the Freeburg Police Department were sent to the Deerfield Trailer Court to conduct a wellness check, as stated in a press release issued by the department. They found the body of Linda Waller, who was 55 years old, when they arrived. According to the St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr., she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to the Belleville Assistant Chief Mark Heffernan, it was the Belleville Police Department that requested a check at Waller’s residence. Heffernan stated that Belleville police officers had stopped a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was registered to Waller and, when searching the vehicle, discovered evidence that led them to believe the driver may have been involved in a violent incident. “Officers continued to observe the car, and when the driver made an incorrect turn from West Washington into south 2nd Street, officers initiated a traffic stop at 1st and Main street,” he said.

“The driver had been traveling from West Washington onto south 2nd Street.” “The driver gave off the impression of being quite anxious. The officers requested the driver’s permission to search the vehicle, and the driver agreed to allow the search to go place. In response to a request from the Freeburg Police Department, investigators from Belleville are aiding with the investigation. Because they have not been accused of committing a crime, the authorities have not disclosed the identity of the person who was driving Waller’s truck and who was still being held in jail as of late Thursday morning. The inquiry into the motive as well as the circumstances continues. The condition of the crime scene or any injuries found on Waller’s body have not been disclosed by the police as reasons for why a homicide investigation is underway.
