Laura Drehsen Obituary, San Luis Obispo CA, Resident Has Died

Laura Drehsen, San Luis Obispo CA, Death – Laura M. Reinhold, who lived in San Luis Obispo California, passed away. She was the daughter of Hiester F. and Edna Mae (Martin) Madeira, both of whom passed away before her birth on December 8, 1932, in Harrisburg. After her husband Carl H. Reinhold passed away on October 10, 2014, Laura became a widow. Her siblings Anne Wright and Ronald Madeira also passed away before her. She worked as a social worker for the state of Pennsylvania for a brief period of time, but her family and the activities she participated in within the community were the sources of her happiness and fulfillment.

She participated in various church activities at Hanoverdale Church, including singing with the choir and the Ladies Trio, helping out with Vacation Bible School, and participating in Bible Adventure. Laura was a part of the Prison Ministry and the Palmyra Ladies Bible Study, and she also traveled to Guyana for a month to participate in a mission trip. She was a professional mural painter and her clients included private residences, businesses, and department stores. Laura was a poet and the author of several children’s books. In addition, she wrote scripts for puppet shows and plays that were performed at the church.

She used to have a beautiful operatic voice when she was younger, and she always enjoyed singing with her family. Her children, Carl Loren Reinhold of Hummelstown, Jennifer R. Burkett (Cary D.) of Mechanicsburg, Wayne M. Reinhold (Sharon A.) of Dillsburg, and Deryl L. Reinhold (Miriam A.) of Harrisburg, as well as her brother John Madeira (Joyce) of Palmyra, are among those who are still living. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Nathan Swenson-Reinhold (Er On Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Hanoverdale Church, which is located at 577 Hershey Road in Hummelstown. In the privacy of Frystown Cemetery, the interment took place.
