Larry Solomon Obituary, Death – The passing of Longview Police Officer Larry Solomon is tragic news that we are sorry to share with you. His passing came as a complete surprise. On Saturday morning, Officer Solomon’s valiant battle against angiosarcoma cancer came to an end at his home. He was surrounded by his family and friends when he passed away. Serving people and providing for his family were Larry’s highest priorities throughout his life.
He is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and also served with honor as a police officer in the city of Longview for nearly 8 years. During that time, he was involved in numerous arrests and investigations. Larry was a loving and loyal husband, as well as a kind and attentive father to his two beautiful children.
The members of the Longview Police Department would like to extend their gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of support and prayers that they received for the Solomon family while he was battling his illness. The department received this support and these prayers while Solomon was in the hospital.
