Lakelyn Draheim Obituary, Maryland Community Mourns Loss of Lakelyn Draheim

Lakelyn Draheim Obituary, Death – Lakelyn Draheim passed away on January 13, 2023, after a long and valiant battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. (DIPG). On January 5, 2022, the youngster who was 5 years old was found to have the condition known as DIPG.  Her family shared the following statement after she passed away: “Today, at 10:22 in the morning, our precious princess warrior danced into the arms of Jesus.” She eventually fell asleep as her parents and Bubba cradled her in their arms and sang her favorite lullabies to her as she fell asleep.

She was encircled by the love that emanated from her family, her friends, and the entirety of the town. Lauren Draheim wrote a statement about their “special angel” on Facebook, in which she expressed how dearly her family and friends had cherished her throughout her life. “We are having a pretty hard time because she is not in the house, and it feels as though a child has been pulled from my womb. This is making things really difficult for us. Because of this, everything is becoming quite challenging for us.” There are no words that can sufficiently explain the amount of anguish that I am currently experiencing. I am at a loss for words.

Prayer is the only thing that will give us the fortitude to get through this challenging period.  Please pray for us. You are a princess who possesses an incredible amount of strength and bravery, and your family and we couldn’t be more proud of you if we tried. You had more of an impact on the globe in 5.5 years than the majority of people do in their whole lives, and during that span of time, you were the master of the entire planet.

I am your greatest fan, and no matter what happens, you will continue to awe and astound me. I have the utmost respect for you. Your mother sends her love, and she says, “See you soon, my lovely angel; I love you more than anything in the world.” A GoFundMe fundraising page has been set up in order to assist the Draheim family in their time of need.
