Koroush Betyounan Obituary, Death – Over the weekend, Mr. Koroush Betyounan, who had been a member of our Association for his entire life, passed away. The AAASC is saddened to relay this news to its members because he had been a member of our Association for his entire life. Mr. Koroush Betyounan had spent his entire life participating in the activities of our Association as a member.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, he was a contributor to the Iranian Assyrian publications “Shveela” and “Ashur.” Iran served as the home country for both of these periodicals. Both of these publications target the Assyrian population as their primary readership in order to cater to that community. In addition to this, his artwork was featured in a broad variety of newspapers all over Iran’s media landscape all throughout the country.

In addition to this, he is the author of the book “Assyrian Athletes Who Competed in Iran,” which, after it was initially released, garnered a great deal of attention.
