Kerri Octeau Obituary, Death – We are deeply saddened to share the news that one of our former skaters, Checker Pulse (Kerri Octeau), passed away this past weekend. This information is being relayed to you with a heavy feeling in our hearts. Pulse was a part of two different teams during the 2014-2015 season: the Federal Hill Mob Squad and the Old Money Honeys. During roller derby matches, when she wasn’t running away with the competition on the track, she volunteered her services as an emergency medical technician.
Those who had the good fortune to know her will miss her in a way that cannot be adequately articulated in words since she was a single mother who had two young sons that she had left behind. Those who had the good fortune to know her will miss her. During this difficult time, we want her loved ones to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them, including her friends and family.
Kerri Octeau GoFundMe
My family has recently experienced a tragic loss. I’m hoping that we can lean on friends and family in this extremely difficult time. On Saturday, January 14 we set up to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday, but with one phone call time stood still and our celebrations were cancelled. I received the news that my cousin, Kerri had passed away very unexpectedly. She was planning to come and celebrate with us that day. She is the mother of 2 beautiful boys, Aiden and Connor. Who she loved more than anything. This tragic loss leaves our family in shock.
Should the funds raised exceed the final expenses, they will be used to start a trust for her two boys. I feel like I should write more, but my heart hurts and I’m just at a loss for words right now.
Thank you all in advance for your generosity. My family is extremely grateful. We will share the service date when it is decided. Hug your loved ones extra tight. Click to visit Kerri Octeau GoFundMe page.
