Keith Frye Obituary, Death – Keith Frye, 29, Southeast was stabbed to death near Barracks Row in Southeast D.C. on Saturday evening, leaving a bereaved family on Mother’s Day. “I think my look tells it all. “My brother was adored,” Keith Frye’s brother, Kevin Frye, added. Police were called to the 400 block of Eighth Street SE around 5:45 p.m. after receiving a stabbing complaint. Keith had been stabbed, and they had tracked him down. Medics arrived and discovered “no signs of life,” according to officials.
A part of the block with numerous eateries was sealed off with police tape a short walk from the Eastern Market Metro station. Kevin noted that the family was having a fantastic time before their lives were flipped upside down just before Mother’s Day. “Just the two of us are seated at the table,” he explained. “My mother had just dropped off my nephew at her house and was on her way to get her something to eat when we heard the news.”
His sibling was well-liked by his neighbors and acquaintances. People from his elementary school are still interested in him. “He’s just a kind guy; my dogs will miss my brother,” Kevin noted. He remembered his brother’s grief over the recent death of a close friend. “We were standing just outside my mother’s house, and he was crying, and I was holding him,” Kevin explained. While relaying the story, he becomes upset. “And it was my last time seeing my brother.”
Keith’s family is appealing to the killer’s conscience, notably his mother, for whom every Mother’s Day will now bring painful memories, and his small son, who is now fatherless. “How could you have been so self-centered as to think your feelings regarding my brother were more important than what he means to us?” Kevin Frye was intrigued. The phrase “on the loose” is used a lot. The suspect was described by police as a tall, slender Black male wearing a red Cavaliers cap with a yellow insignia. The suspect wore a light gray or green jacket over a gray sweatshirt. A reward of up to $25,000 is available. Anyone with information should contact the police.
