Judge Sieve Obituary, Judge Sieve Has Passed Away

Judge Sieve Obituary, Death – A brief bout with illness was followed by Judge Jon H. Sieve’s passing away on January 19, 2023, when he was in a peaceful state of mind. He was the loyal brother of Judge Sylvia Sieve Hendon (Bob), the beloved husband of Cheryl (O’Leary) Sieve, and the cherished uncle of Melissa Hendon Deters (Scott Stieber) and Chip Hendon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl (O’Leary) Sieve. The date of his passing was March 2, 2019. (Shawna). Uncle to those who are eight generations removed, and great-great uncle to those who are two generations removed. His closest friends made up a sizable portion of his extended family uniting them all.

Judge Sieve has served a total of two terms on the Hamilton County Court of Domestic Relations, one of which was spent in the capacity of Administrative Judge. Prior to that, the judge worked in the same court as a Magistrate for a period of three years. Prior to his election to public office, he served as President of Sieve Pontiac, a Westside family business that had been in operation for a considerable amount of time. He also had a career as a lawyer who worked in private practice.

Judge Sieve earned his education from several prestigious institutions, including St. Xavier High School, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Cincinnati College of Law, among others. It is possible to make contributions in memory of Judge Jon Sieve to the Judge Jon Sieve Memorial Fund at Best Point (which was formerly known as The Children’s Home). The money contributed to this fund will be used to provide assistance to families who are taking part in supervised visiting programs. It was while he was serving on the Bench that he gave his support to this endeavor.

A celebration mass will be given on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Mater Dei Chapel on the Mount Saint Joseph University campus located at 5701 Delhi Road in Cincinnati. The Radel Funeral Home, which can be found at 650 Neeb Rd., will be hosting a visitation on Friday, January 27 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
