John Walter Obituary, Death – We mourn Coach John “Jake” Walter’s passing. He’ll be missed. Jake was vital to our business for 23 years, serving in several roles. He had many roles throughout this time. He coached, assisted, and assisted Chippewa Falls Youth Football.
1999-2003 Assisting Hillcrest Panthers coach Hillcrest Panthers head coach 2004–2012. 2006-2011, 2016-2017 CFYF Treasurer, 2018-2019 CFYF Vice President, 2020-2021 CFYF League Advisor Jake “kept Arnie in line” at Weber Fields all week. Arnie and Jake have to work together to run the league each season.
We will always be grateful to him for his tireless efforts to provide our children and teenagers with a comprehensive curriculum that meets their needs. His work showed he believed in CFYF’s goals. Jake’s biggest pride was being Hillcrest Panthers’ head coach. He often reminisced about coaching and his interactions with athletes. He reminisced about coaching. He maintained relationships with all of them into adulthood. He led his clubs to memorable championships in 2005 and 2010. Their success depended on his. Coach Walter respected football’s process most, and his teams’ victories over his coaching tenure showed that this appreciation was providing the intended results.
Our Ring of Honor was modified to reflect Jake Walter’s 2021 induction to honor his hard work. Jake’s departure from our company and community will sadden us all. Despite his rough exterior, the “West Hill Bully” had a great heart. This is why we shall always remember him this way. This name will last forever. We all noticed your absence. Jake’s family, friends, and supporters: We cannot adequately thank him for all he has done for our organization. He made us what we are today and gave our youth possibilities. He helped us succeed. We are grateful for your help and for your support and encouragement while he was helping us and frequently helping himself.
We’ll never forget Jake’s unwavering commitment, selflessness, contagious humor, and most importantly, his friendship. We’ll always cherish these traits. I wish you eternal rest. Instead of flowers, Jake’s family requests donations to CFYF. We are a volunteer-run organization, and every donation will go toward lowering registration fees and expanding our grant program. Thus, we can guarantee that no child will be denied football. Jake worked hard to achieve both goals. We’re also planning a future tribute for Jake. Click here to donate to Jake’s memorial. Please accept my gratitude. Appreciated.
