As a consequence of Mr. Saer’s passing, the Builth Wells Golf Club neighborhood has been bereft of a vital member and will miss him greatly. John acted as the official spokesperson for the Builth Wells Golf Club in the eyes of the general public for a significant portion of the club’s existence, which spanned more than half a century.

Those who were fortunate enough to have known him will think back on him after his passing with a mixture of regret and fondness due to the fact that he has passed away. Those of you who have had the good fortune to spend some time in John’s company will remember many things, not the least of which are the enjoyable moments, the hilarious exchanges, and John’s half beer! Those of you who have had the good fortune to spend some time in John’s company will remember many things.

As a result of John’s untimely passing, the Committee and Members of the Brecon Golf Club would like to offer their most heartfelt sympathies to his family and the people he was closest to in the world. John was an excellent guy who had a huge impact on the achievements of the Builth Wells Golf Club as well as the Brecon and Radnor County Golf Union. John was a member of both of these organizations. John was a part of each of these organizations as a member.

The current degree of success that these two organizations enjoy is directly attributable to the work that John has put forth. When he leaves, there will surely be a significant void in the social fabric of the community. To tell you the truth, he was a remarkable character in the history of the sport at one point in time.

During this trying time, Sheila, Emyr, and Sharon, as well as each member of their own families, are in our thoughts and prayers. We are also keeping each of their families in our thoughts and prayers.
