John Ridley Obituary, Death– We are writing to share with you all the sad news that Pastor John Ridley passed away early this morning. It is with a heavy heart that we do so. The following is some unsettling information that we are obligated to relay to you, and we do so with a heavy heart.
n 1974, Pastor Ridley joined Portlife in order to assume responsibility for the pastoral care that was being provided by the organization. He did this by becoming a member of Portlife. He was our Senior Pastor from 1975 till 1981, during which time he served our congregation. He was the kind of guy who served God with an undying dedication and had a heart that was brimming with compassion for everyone, most especially for Jesus.
He was a guy who had a heart that was overflowing with compassion for everyone in 1976, he was one of the driving causes behind the foundation of the first independent Christian school in South Australia. Margaret McIntyre was the other driving factor behind the establishment of this institution.
Margaret McIntyre was also one of the people who was instrumental in establishing the school. She was one of the driving forces. This college, which was formerly known as Portside Bible College and is now known as Portside Christian College, is experiencing significant growth and has just changed its name to better represent this development.
To the very end, he exemplified what it means to be a one-of-a-kind and truly exceptional human being. He demonstrated Christlike qualities by showing compassion for other people, having a broad viewpoint, and not looking out for himself in the way that was most beneficial to him. At this company, each and every one of us is going to miss him tremendously. I am overjoyed to extend my compliments to you, as you have been such an honorable and devoted servant.
