Jillian Priestley Obituary, Death – Jillian “Jill” Maree Priestley, who resided in Victor Harbor and received care at the facility located at McCracken Views Residential Care, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16 of this week. She was a patient in the institution. At the time of her death, she was receiving care at the facility where she was residing. Our personal family members and all of our close friends are suffering from severe depression as a direct effect of hearing this information. In her three roles as mother, grandmother, and older sister, Jill Priestley was a wonderful addition to the Priestley family. Additionally, she was well-known for her generosity.
She was married to William “Bluey” John Priestley for a total of 32 years before his passing. In addition to her roles as a mother and grandmother, Jill also served as an elder sibling. She had spent the majority of her life in the Northern Territory, where she held teaching jobs at Yuendumu College and Yirara College, located in Alice Springs. During her career in the Northern Territory, she devoted a considerable amount of time to instructing students. Yirara College has been exceedingly fortunate to get the services of a devoted team member for the past 16 years. Jill was both a lovely person and an outstanding instructor, which is a combination that is uncommon.
Jill was among these uncommon persons. She demonstrated to Native American students how to face the rigors of secondary school in a manner that was not only considerate but also productive by displaying how she had handled these challenges. On the morning of Monday, January 30, 2023, at eleven o’clock, a memorial service for Jill will be placed in the chapel of the Alice Springs Cemetery. This will occur on the Monday following Jill’s death. The chapel is located in a building on the cemetery grounds. In the state of Arizona, the cemetery is located in the city of Alice Springs.
