James Harvey Obituary, Death – Mr. James W. Harvey II passed away on January 1, 2023. He was 75 years old. His death was officially documented as having occurred on “January 1.” The funeral for him was held on the Sunday of the next week after he passed away. He was under the impression that the Florida community of Edgewater would be his permanent residence for the rest of his life. Following his discharge from the Marine Corps, Mr. Havey began his career in law enforcement with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. He started out as a deputy, worked his way up through the ranks, and eventually reached the position of captain before deciding to retire.

On the afternoon of Friday, January 27, 2023, members of the family will be available at the Darby Funeral Home from one o’clock in afternoon until two o’clock in the afternoon to meet and speak with those who come to pay their respects. This opportunity will run from one until two o’clock in the afternoon. The visitation will take place in the afternoon, beginning at one o’clock and continuing until two o’clock. Chris Collett will preside over the memorial service that will be held in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home immediately following the reception that will take place prior to the ceremony. The reception will take place immediately before the service. In remembrance of the individual who passed away so late, the event is going to go forward as planned.
Since Mr. Harvey’s passing, the only surviving members of his family are his daughter Ashley Booth, who currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia, and his granddaughters Caelyn Booth and Carson Booth. Ashley Booth currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia. The only member of Mr. Harvey’s family to make it through life is Ashley Booth. There was no one else in Mr. Harvey’s family save him, thus he was the lone member.
