Jack Sullivan Obituary, Glenside, Pennsylvania Resident Has Passed Away

Jack Sullivan Obituary, Death – Jack Sullivan, 20, Glenside resident passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2023.  Jack Sullivan was born in Abington, Massachusetts, to Kate (Walsh) Sullivan and Jim Sullivan, Jr. Jack graduated from Abington Junior and Senior High Schools in 2021 after attending St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Pre-School, Copper Beech Elementary, and both Abington high schools. Jack was a talented swimmer who competed on the High School Varsity Swim Team for three years. In addition to swimming, Jack participated in intramural soccer.

Jack was a lively young man who would ride his bike for hours to remote fishing places throughout the region. He was relieved to be out of the house. Anyone who grew up in Glenside remembers seeing him ride his bike about town as a normal and delightful sight. He might be seen roaming around the neighborhood with his pet dog Finn, conversing with anyone who happened to be there. His passing will be felt by everyone who knew and loved him, and his memory will be treasured for the rest of their lives.

His siblings include Kyleigh, Avery, and Cade, his twin sister. In addition to his parents, Jack is survived by his siblings. His maternal grandfather, Raymond Walsh, died shortly before he was born. He is survived by his paternal grandparents, James E. Sullivan Sr. and Katie (Jamison) Sullivan, as well as an uncountable number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends, in addition to his maternal grandma, Barbara (Murphy) Walsh. He passed away on April 15, 2019.

On Thursday, January 12, 2023, a viewing will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, located at 2316 Fairhill Ave. in Glenside, Pennsylvania 19038, beginning at 10:00 AM and running until 12:00 PM. Jack’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. The event is completely free and accessible to the public. His funeral and burial will take place in privacy.
