Hristos Tsirkas Obituary, Retired comrade of the Rail Tram and Bus Union Has Died

Hristos Tsirkas Obituary, Death – We are writing to inform you, Members, that Hristos Tsirkas has passed away. Please accept our condolences. We do so with the sincerest condolences for the departed. Hristos was a very proud individual who took a great deal of delight in looking out for all of his fellow railroad workers, and he made a considerable contribution to the growth and development of our union.
Hristos was honored in 2018 by the Rail, Tram, and Bus Union (RTBU), which conferred upon him the status of life member in recognition of the significant services he had provided to the RTBU over the years, serving as a Member, Delegate, and Elected Representative on numerous RTBU Committees. This was done in recognition of the significant contributions Hristos had made to the RTBU over the years. 2019 marked the beginning of his retirement from V/Line, where he had worked for the previous 44 years.
Hristos will be remembered by the RTBU for all that he did for the organization for as long as the organization exists, and the many members of the RTBU who considered him a comrade will also continue to remember him.
The funeral for Hristos will be held on January 11th, 2023 at the Axion Esti Monastery, which can be found at 7 Hartington Street in Northcote. The date and time of the service have not yet been determined. The event will take place at eleven o’clock in the morning.
