Henry Van Obituary, Death – One of Henry’s surnames is Van Til. 8/11/1926 – 9/27/2022 Henry Leonard (Stevens) Van Til, age 96, of Jenison, Michigan, passed away without suffering on September 27, 2022, and went to be with Jesus after a life well lived. Henry Leonard (Stevens) Van Til called Jenison home during his lifetime. Throughout his entire life, Henry was a devoted follower of Christianity, and he acknowledged and expressed gratitude to the Lord for all of his achievements. He was an amazing grandfather who doted on all of his offspring, including his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In the course of his service in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer during World War II, he brought honor not only to his homeland but also to the people who lived there with him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine; his grandson, Timothy Van Til; his daughter-in-law, Colleen “Kokie” Van Til; his stepchildren, James and Shirley Van Drie, and Randall Van Drie; his sisters and brothers, Marian and Derwin DeJonge, Raymond and Faye Van Til, and Helen Wolters; as well as his siblings-in-law and siblings-in-law, Joan Kremers, Harm and Lo Stepchildren Douglas and Jan Van Drie, Raymond and Jan Van Drie, Mary and Todd Billin; stepdaughter-in-law Amy Van Drie; countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Paul Kremers Funeral services will be performed at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), which can be found at 4145 Chicago Avenue, on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11 in the morning.
During the course of the ceremony, Dr. S.W. and Reverend Casey Freswick took turns serving as the presiding officers. Both the funeral and the burial will take place in Grandville Cemetery, which is located in Grandville, Michigan. On Sunday, October 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the family will be present at the funeral home so that friends and relatives can pay their condolences and meet with them there.
