Harriet Hall Obituary, Death – Because of this piece of information, all of us here at SBM are feeling an overwhelming sense of loss. A memorial service will be held the following weekend, and as soon as we obtain information about the plans for the memorial service, we will post it on this page. Along with Steve, myself, Dr. Kimball Atwood, and the late Dr. Wally Sampson, Harriet was one of the individuals that assisted in the establishment of this website back in 2008. She was one of our close friends.
Her contributions to the promotion of skepticism, particularly in regards to questionable medicine and pseudomedical claims, have earned her a place in the annals of history. Her ground-breaking work as one of the early female flight surgeons in the Air Force was one of the reasons she earned this place. Other reasons include her contributions to the promotion of skepticism.
Everyone will grieve her passing in their own unique ways. We would want to invite you to be with us as we mourn her passing and, more importantly, celebrate the life she had.
