Georgia Larsen Obituary, 75 Years-Old, Georgia Larsen Of Menomonie, WI. Has Passed Away

Georgia Larsen Obituary, Death – Georgia Mae (Schlegel) Larsen, a resident of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the age of 75. Her passing was reported in the local newspaper. Georgia was welcomed into the world by her parents, George Edward and Zella Mae (Joos) Schlegel, on the 5th day of December in the year 1947.in the municipality of Black River Falls located within the state of Wisconsin. Her family owned a farm outside of Melrose, Wisconsin, and she spent her youth there. Georgia continued her education after graduating from high school by attending the University of Wisconsin–Stout, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in textile science, and the University of Idaho, from which she earned a master’s degree in chemistry by completing her coursework and working toward the degree. Both institutions are located in the state of Idaho.

In 1971, Georgia tied the knot with Steven “Lars” Lee Larsen, and the pair went on to have one child together, a daughter. Throughout the course of her life, Georgia held a number of different occupations; however, the one about which she felt the most pride was owning her own little business. She and her husband started up Larsen Repair, a tractor repair business, together and ran it till he passed away. During their marriage, they had two children. Georgia was a very active participant at the New Hope Lutheran Church, where she was a member. At any of the numerous church programs and get-togethers, you could find her there, ready to provide a helping hand while also flashing a warm smile.

After she retired, she explored her love of music by attending community concerts performed all throughout the local area, where she worked as a volunteer at the Mabel Tainter theater. She also found fulfillment in working as a volunteer at the theater. Georgia is survived by her daughter Roberta (Dan Nied) Larsen of Findlay, Ohio; her grandchildren Frederikka “Rikka” Nied and Lawrence “Lars” Nied; as well as three sisters and one brother: Myra (Steve) Douglass, of California, Alice (Jim) Cardella, of Michigan., Paula (Mike) Bondarinko, of Wisconsin, and Edward (Glender) Schlegel, Montana. Paula (Mike) Bond Myra and Alice are additional examples of this. She is also survived by her aunt, in addition to a large number of relatives, nieces, and nephews on both her mother’s and father’s sides of the family. The deaths of Georgia’s parents, George and Zella Schlegel, as well as her husband, Steve Larsen, occurred before to Georgia’s own passing. Georgia was preceded in death by each of her three predecessors
