Emma Nibbelink Obituary – Emma Nibbelink, passed away on Saturday, as a result of injuries he sustained in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car that took place close to Beaver Creek. Christian Reformed Church in Luverne was the location of the funeral services that were held on Thursday.
The burial took place at the Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne. Willard and Margery (Vis) Nibbelink welcomed their son Joshua Jon Nibbelink into the world on July 3, 1975, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In August of 1975, he was baptized at the Hills Christian Reformed Church, and in 1998, he made his Profession of Faith at the Luverne Christian Reformed Church, both of which are located in the city of Luverne.
The majority of Josh’s childhood was spent on the family farm that was located close to Beaver Creek. In 1986, he relocated to Luverne with the rest of his family. He received his education at Hills Christian School, Edgerton Christian Elementary School, and Southwest Christian High School, all located in Edgerton, and he graduated from there in 1993.
After completing his associate’s degree at Worthington Community College, Josh moved on to complete his bachelor’s degree at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. After completing his education, he started working at Country Cupboards in Luverne, where he was responsible for the construction of bespoke cabinetry. On July 10, 1999, the ceremony took place at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton.
The bride was named Shelly Buys. The city of Luverne became the couple’s permanent residence. He was a very involved member of the Luverne Christian Reformed Church, where he sang in the male chorus, served as a deacon, and was on the committee for the Luverne Christian School Society. He is survived by his wife, Shelly, who resides in Luverne; their two daughters, Emma and Addison.
His parents, Willard Nibbelink of Aurellia, Iowa, and Marge Pap of Luverne; his brothers, Jim (Vonda) Nibbelink of Luverne and Tim (Kris) Nibbelink of Winona; his in-laws, Harley and Marilyn Buys of Edgerton; a brother-in-law His sister, Janna Nibbelink, his nephew, Jeremy Nibbelink, and his grandparents all passed away before him.
