Emily Barker Obituary, Death – Emily Barker has sadly passed away in a tragic car accident. She was born in Carter County, Kentucky, on November 19, to her late parents, Tom Carroll and Ruth (Holbrook) Carroll. Her parents have now passed away. Both of her parents had already passed away before she was born. Since then, none of her parents has made it to this day alive to see the present. Sister Emmy was a devout disciple of Christ for the entirety of the fifty-two years that she was a member of the Clifty United Baptist Church, during which time she was also an active participant in the activities of the church.

She took great pleasure in preparing meals for the members of the congregation of the church, and throughout the course of the years she opened her home not only to members of her church family but also to many other people from the community. In addition to that, she found tremendous joy in preparing meals for the members of the congregation of the church. During her free time, some of her favorite activities included making quilts, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Elder Eury Barker, her husband of more than fifty-nine years, her daughter Connie Henderson, two great grandchildren named Noel Eldridge and Benjamin Burns, five brothers named Arnold Carroll, Norm Carroll, Willard Carroll, Emil Carroll, and Aurges Carroll, three sisters named Cloma Roe, Grace Knipp, and Thomesine Edington, and one step-sister named Bert Blevins all passed away before she did. Bert Blevins was the only step-sister she had. Bert Blevins was her step-sister. Her parents and grandparents had passed away before she was born, as had both of her siblings.

Patricia (Darrell) Eldridge, who resides in Olive Hill, Kentucky, is the lone daughter that Sister Emmy will ever have to say goodbye to. She is also survived by one step-brother, Ken Carroll, of Mansfield, Ohio; two step-sisters, Susie Blevins of Mansfield, Ohio, and Evelynn Clark of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three sons, Terry (Patty) Barker of Kinston, North Carolina, David (Jan) Barker of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and James Barker of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and one step-daughter, Evelynn Clark of Olive Hill, Kentucky.
